School Council visit to Jigsaw at Eden Valley Hospice

Our School Council recently visited Jigsaw at the Eden Valley Hospice. The children represented our whole School Community in the handover of funds raised through our recent 'Reindeer Run'. The children found about the work of the Hospice and how it supports children from across our region. Thank you for your generosity for this very worthy cause! 

School Council welcome the Mayor of Carlisle to Belle Vue!

February 2024

Our School Council recently greeted the Mayor and the Mayor's Sergeants into school. They gave the Mayor a tour of the school and even had the chance to hold the Mayor's sword, mace and chain of office. 

The School Council and Mayor then led an assembly for KS2 where we discussed democracy, and the role of the Mayor. We discussed the similarities between the Mayor and the School Councillors, in that they had both been voted into their roles by their peers. 

The children then had a chance to ask great questions of the Mayor and the Mayor's Sergeants. 

It was a pleasure to show the Mayor around School, and the Mayor and the Mayor's Sergeants were highly complimentary of our pupils and our School!
