The Parable of the Sower
We are delighted to be able to share with you the wonderful year 2 performance of the Parable of the Sower.
Welcome to the Year 2 page
Please find below general information for your child in Year 2.
PE
PE days for both classes are on a Tuesday afternoon and a Thursday morning. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
Homework
Reading - The children are expected to read at least three times a week. Each child will being home a 'Reading for Pleasure' book which can be read independently or alongside an adult. Some children may also bring home a decodable phonics book.
Maths - The children need to access Numbots three times a week for 10 minutes at a time and complete one piece of homework (this will be a worksheet which will be stuck in homework books). Homework should be handed in on a Thursday and a new piece will be given on a Friday for the following week.
Spelling - The children will be given a new spellings list to practise every Friday. They will be taught a new spelling rule in school and then they will practise words at home which will be tested in school every Friday.
