Hi Yr5!
It's hard to believe that this is our last week in Yr5 in what has been a pretty bizarre last few months. We are ALL so proud of the way that you've approached your home learning since we broke up from school at the end of March. We'd like to say a massive thank you to all of your families who have supported you through your home learning and made sure that you have kept on learning in as many ways as possible. Let's try to give the home learning one last week's worth of your best effort so that you can relax and enjoy your well deserved summer holidays!
Both Mrs Messenger and Mr Jenkinson are still in charge of a Yr6 bubble for the last week of term. Mrs Wright will, in the main, be answering any queries or questions that you have via email. We will still be accessing the Yr5 emails, but not as frequently as in previous weeks. Please continue to send in the fantastic photos of your home learning so that we can upload and share your achievements on our Yr5 gallery.
Below here is your home learning for the week beginning Monday 13th July,2020. It includes: English - a 'Talk for Writing, booklet called 'Year 5-Elves'; Maths -White Rose and BBC Bite-size linked worksheets; spelling and a 'Remembering Year 5' project. There is no expectation for you to print off worksheets, unless you find it helpful, all work can be completed in the exercise books provided before the school was closed.
If you have any questions about any of the work, then please don't hesitate to contact us by email and we will try to get back to you as soon as we can. Don't forget to also email us in any pictures you have of exciting things that you have been doing whilst you have been at home during the school closure. Our email address is:

The whole of the Yr5 team are missing you all and hope that you're keeping safe, well and occupied!Have a fantastic week, enjoy the weather and look after yourselves and your families!

'Remembering Year 5' Project
A one week topic project
As it is the last week of the school year, the Year 5 team thought it would be lovely for you to create a memento of your time in Year 5 and the extraordinary events that have taken place over the year! Again, we would like you to decide what form this memento should take, it could be: a poem, an artwork, a presentation, an information leaflet or even a collage of images and writing to create a poster, it is entirely up to you. |
Youth Sports Trust National School Sport Week 2020 - at home.
If we were in school, we would normally host our annual school sports week during the second to last week of term but this information is from the Youth Sports Trust and linked to National School Sport Week 2020 - at home. Ideally we would like parents to register themselves on the website and the wide range of resources will then be available for them to use. It would be fantastic if parents could send any pictures etc to our year group email addresses.
The website is: www.youthsporttrust.org/national-school-sport-week-home/
If this doesn't work for whatever reason, try to Google ‘National School sport week 2020’, they will find it. |
If you need any support with the tasks that have been set or have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact the Year 5 team at: year5@bellevue.cumbria.sch.uk.
Take care and hope to see you soon from all the staff in Year 5.
